Rainy Days, Puddles, + The Fam Bam

"The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain."
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The morning of October 22 was one I had been waiting for. For the last 2 months, I have been planning "Pumpkin Patch Mini-Sessions" at Thomasson Family Farm in Enumclaw. I had 9 spots filled and couldn't wait to spend the day with some of my favorite families. Well, the morning came and so did the rain. It was awesome. And by awesome, I mean I had a mild panic attack.

I called the families and we re-scheduled the shoots for the middle of the week. Except for one. Chelsie and Kyle were game for the rain. With rain boots and umbrellas, Dayton and Jacob showed up ready for their photo shoot. My best friend Tara came with to hold an umbrella over my head so my camera could stay dry. Gosh, she needs a raise.

I could not have been more pleased with the pictures. Jacob was LOVING the camera, and Dayton warmed up by the end of the session. I am so glad that they risked the rain. I can honestly say it was worth it.

I asked Jacob to come over and take a picture with his "Fam Bam". Apparently Jacob and I don't hang out enough for him to know that I call every family the "Fam Bam", because he got very concerned. "Where's the Fam Bam??" He kept asking Chelsie and she was explaining that the "Fam Bam" was Mommy, Daddy, Jacob, and Dayton. I think by the end of the session, he understood.

Here are some of the best pictures from the day. Rainy days are full of happy things.

Life is great. Even on a rainy day.
