Love, Raindrops, & Forever : Mr. + Mrs. Greene

"It is a risk to love. What if it doesn't work out? Ah, but what if it does."
-Peter McWilliams

The first time I met Kanoe & Eric, I thought they were celebrities. Seriously, we had a coffee date at Starbucks to talk about their wedding, and they were sitting outside looking like Brad & Angelina. She was wearing sunglasses and a white dress, a sign of things to come. Eric was there to add his two cents and for moral support. It was obvious that they are perfect for each other.

As soon as I stepped foot into the bridal suite on the day of their wedding, I could feel the excitement. Girls everywhere putting on mascara and curling their hair. The room was full of perfume, hairspray, and love. One of my best friends, Josiah, was able to second shoot with me, so he spent time with the groomsmen. I'm assuming there was much less hairspray...Once all of the final touches were applied and Kanoe stepped into her dress, we made our way to Robinswood House for the first look and the wedding.

When Kanoe walked around the corner to see Eric for their first look, it was the sweetest. He saw her and could not stop smiling. She looked perfect, her dress, her hair. Her smile. She was radiant. The day was full of laughter, and I am pretty sure she had the most hilarious bridal party. They were just my favorites.

After portraits, it was time to relax before the ceremony. However, the ceremony was intended to be outside, but once the rain started falling, it was time to improvise. Family and friends helped carry in candles, flowers, and chairs and set up the inside of the lodge for a wedding. The raindrops brought everyone closer, just like Eric + Kanoe. The toasts at the end of the night proved that. They have made their way into the lives of their friends and family and have brought people into their hearts. The rain did not ruin the day, it made it better. It made everyone closer, and everyone got a front row seat to watch them promise to love and honor each other through the good and the bad. Forever.

Eric & Kanoe, Your wedding was so wonderful. I think it was perfect. Thank you for having me take your pictures. I cannot tell you how beautiful you are, and how much you made me love every moment of the day. You love life and each other and it is contagious to the people around you. You are the reason I love my job. Thank you, thank you. Best wishes on your life together. Hope to see you again sometime.

Life is beautiful.
