Part-Time Models

Well, March has been maternity mania! There have been so many baby bumps on the blog lately! I'm loving it and realizing how much I adore pregnancy! It is so exciting that you can see the belly getting bigger, and the parents getting more and more excited! I love when names are being picked out, and the future is being talked about in every conversation. It is so much more exciting it is to look at the future than the past. 

Round two of Brettany's maternity pictures started last week fantastically. Baby Dawson is growing so fast! This time Steve was here to add some sparkle and shine to the pictures. They even make an old mailbox look good. These are two of the most important people in my life. Stay tuned for May when Baby Dawson arrives and baby will make 3.

Brettany and Steve, you are part-time models and I will gladly take your pictures any time. Also, you are going to be the best parents. I can't wait to hold your baby!!!

When I Grow Up.

There are few things that are more ridiculous than my whole family in a car together. I usually get pretty car sick, so I end up in the front seat. My dad usually gets to where we are going through streets none of us knew existed. Seventeen times it is mentioned that we need to stop because we might die of dehydration, starvation, or needing to use the bathroom. And then we get there. Wherever we are going, and we praise the Lord we made it.

Today was one such day. Driving to Seattle with some friends from Oregon, Matt and Nichole & baby Evyn. Ready to see Pike Place and walk around in the sunshine. It was perfect, crazy but perfect. We tasted Turkish Delight, bought some fruit & a beautiful dress, and made a mental note. Mental Note: My husband needs to not be allergic to flowers so that I can keep them in my home year-round. Please, Jesus? 

Anyway, Matt asked me today if I wanted to be a photographer forever. I didn't even think before the words came flooding out of my mouth. "Yes, because it makes me happy. And I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and sad. There is nothing else I want to do forever. I love this." So there we have it. My mouth said what my heart feels. I think I finally know what I want to be when I grow up.

Magic + Pasta

Oh Wednesday, you have been grand thus far. Work, Green Tea Lemonade, crossing things off my to-do list, and my most favorite thing ever....pasta. I really don't believe that one can truly be happy without carbs. For real. I mean, carbs = delicious. Look at all the people on those carb-free diets, they could burst into tears at any moment. 

I am just gonna throw this out here. I LOVE taking pictures of food. (See some more food pictures here and here.) So today when I looked at the most beautiful bowl of noodles I have ever made, I thought you might want to take a peek and fall in love with carbs all over again. Oh! And one more thing, this picture is straight out of camera which means I didn't do any editing! Scouts honor, no cropping, retouching, or color adjustments. This is my pasta, directors cut. Beautiful isn't it? Now go boil some water, and make some happiness. 

Life is better with carbs. So much better.

If that quote is true, the Hardebeck family is full of hope. Three new lives are entering the world soon and these mama's look radiant. I don't think there is a way to communicate how much I absolutely LOVE pregnant bellies. I think that when a mama is pregnant, she looks more beautiful than she ever has! 

Alison, Galadriel, & Melody are all pregnant at the same time, with baby cousins. Alison is having a baby boy in June, Melody is having a baby boy in about a week, and Galadriel is having a baby girl in May. I cannot wait for these babies to be born and to finally meet them. Just look at these 3 mamas and their baby bumps! They are beautiful and radiant! Thanks mamas, I'm so glad that you let me take these.

I promised last week that I would post some more pictures of my favorite bump. Here are a few more...Once this lovely weather decides to cooperate, we will be taking some more that I am so excited for. But what is better than fingerpaint, a belly, and the beginning of a new life. Only 7 more weeks until Baby Dawson is due to arrive, and he is well on his way. I can't wait to hold him, to meet him, to see his baby toes and fingers, and to watch my best friend become the best mama.

Today was a day where my heart almost burst because it was so full of love. My best friend Brettany came to get some belly pictures taken of my most favorite bump, baby Dawson. Goodness, I love this little baby so much already! It's weird to think that in just 9 weeks he will be here and I will get to meet him! Brettany and Steve are two of my most favorite people to photograph, so more pictures will be taken soon and up for you to see. But today, it was all about the belly. Yes please. Love me some baby belly. 

This bump will change the world. Dawson, come soon, hopefully a little early. The world is excited to see your little self.
