A Constant Party.

"Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe."
-St. Augustine

When I worked at Generational Leadership, life was a constant party. A party where everyone was open to talk about Jesus, the things we were going through, and to make friendships that will last as long as my memories. Forever.

Tammie became the Assistant Director for the last year I was on staff and has been there for three years now. She is the kind of person who I am not afraid to be 100% vulnerable with. She is FULL of wisdom, but even more full of hilarious jokes. I swear we laugh even while we cry. And by we, I mean I. I am the cryer in this relationship... :) In the year that I worked for her, I felt like I grew under her leadership, as many who have spent a year with you can also say. She pushes you to be the best version of yourself but has grace for weaknesses and imperfections. I am so glad to know her. So glad.

Tammie has 3 of the most adorable children. We took them out to The Olson Mansion to get some updated pictures for her office. I am so so glad that we did. The light was disappearing, as it does earlier and earlier these days, but it made for some PERFECT pictures of her kiddos. Lexi, Matthew, and Hunter ran and played and were the perfect little models. They even had some pose ideas for me. I will take all the help I can get. :)

Tammie, you are one of the best mamas. Your kids love you, and you are not afraid to let them play and be adventurous. They know that they are loved, and I know they are also going to grow under your leadership, they will be the best version of themselves. Life is a constant party in your home, full of friends, laughter, and family. Thank you for letting me take these pictures, I had a WONDERFUL time.

Take a look, and look around at your office...Time for some new pictures? Give me a call!!!

1.4 Miles Later

"If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairytales."
-Albert Einstein

Miss Posie Noel is scheduled to arrive right around the New Year. Brianna e-mailed me a few months ago to make sure I had time for a maternity session when she was around 30 weeks. For her beautiful face, yes. I will ALWAYS have time.

I can honestly say that Brianna and Dan's Maternity session is one of my favorites I have EVER done. The way he makes her laugh, and their personalities were so easy to capture. It is obvious that they have never been happier. We talked about Posie and what they think she will be like. This baby girl is already so loved.

We met at Deep Lake which is also where Dan proposed and they got married last summer. It is much more than a park to them, it is special. We walked around and I made a mental note that future sessions WILL be scheduled here. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! We started walking down a trail, and halfway down we decided to just go all the way. 1.4 miles later, we made it to the end. Photo shoot + Workout = Best use of time.

Brianna and Dan, I am so happy to know you. You are so in love and it showed the whole time we were together. Dan, I have never seen Brianna happier and I can tell that you treat her well. She is radiant. Posie, I cannot wait to meet you and see your little self. You are going to be adorable. I just know.

Take a look. It's okay to want to be preggers, she makes it look so good!

Life is magical.

One Big Happy Family.

"Families are like fudge...Mostly sweet with a few nuts."
-Author Unknown

Carl and Christie have 3 sons. Corey is the oldest, then Joey, then Dwight. Corey and Teal have 3 kiddos, and Joey and Nichole have a new baby girl named Isabella. Since Corey and his family were coming up for a weekend from California, it was time to get everyone together and take some pictures. Paige and Emma wanted to be by Baby Isabella the whole time, and Cortland was super content whatever we were doing. Grandma and Grandpa were so excited to have their grand babies in town, and the cloudy day was perfect weather for these photos.

Thank you for letting me take these pictures, I hope you are happy with they way they turned out! I think they are wonderful.

Here are some of my favorites from the day!!!

Mr. Dawson Atwood.

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. The only way to do great work is to love what you do."
-Steve Jobs

These two people can brighten any day. Brettany and Dawson are just the best to spend time with. A few weeks ago, I decided to buy a new lens on a whim, and I needed some models to test it out. It helps to have a gorgeous best friend and for her to have the cutest baby alive. Needless to say, I am SO glad that I bought the lens and even more glad to have taken these photos. They are some of my favorites since Dawson has been born. Every time I see him, he has more personality and is more aware of everything going on around him.

I like to pretend he knows me, I think he does. And he thinks I'm funny. Which makes 2 of us. Here are some pictures of this baby. Yes, he is as perfect as he seems.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Look at his baby booty! And his shoes! MELT MY HEART!

Life is better with babies.

Baby Brody Michael : Newborn

"To be in your child's memories tomorrow, be in his life today."
-Anonymus

When she called me to tell me she was having a baby, I was ecstatic. Carissa and I have been in each others lives since Middle School and it is so exciting that she is entering this new season of life. As her due date was approaching, I was eagerly awaiting to meet Baby Brody. He arrived a few days after her due date, but he was a perfect healthy baby. What is better than that?

When Carissa and Jarred brought Baby Brody home, I went over and got to meet him and hold him. He really is adorable and I love when he sleeps in my arms. What a good little baby he is. Carissa is a natural at being a mama and her baby already knows her and loves her.

Carissa and Jarred, I am so excited that you are parents. You are already great at it. He is precious and wonderful. Take time to laugh and play. Everything else will work out. I promise. Love you!

A few days after he was born, Baby Brody came to my house for his modeling debut. Here are some of my favorites..

At the end of the session, Baby Brody was tired. Mama's arms was the perfect place for a nap.

New life is beautiful.

Bath Time, Donuts, + Weekend Trips

"A friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself."
-Jim Morrison

A few weeks ago, one of my best friends Gabrella and I drove down to Camas to visit the Nazario Family. Amber lived with my family when I was in seventh grade so we consider each other sisters. A few years ago, she married the man of her dreams Paul and they had a baby boy named Hayden. Amber just had baby boy #2 on September 30, and we were thankful that he stayed in her tummy through our weekend of adventures.

Amber was hosting a baby shower on Saturday Morning for one of her friends, so Paul took Gabbie, Hayden, and I to Portland for breakfast and dress shopping. My favorite. Before we left, Hayden needed to take a little bath, and the pictures have been something we have been planning for about a year. :) I could not be happier with how they turned out! I LOVE BUBBLE BATH PHOTOS!!!

Saturday Evening, we headed to a super cool location in Portland called Edgefield. They have a beautiful old hotel, gardens, a cool concert venue, and lots of pretty places to take pictures. While we were there, Bon Iver was having a concert. I about passed out. I LOVE BON IVER! (Favorite Song : Skinny Love or Minnesota, WI). We ended the night with dinner and then a trip to Voodoo Donuts for some DELICIOUS treats!

Baby Gavin, I cannot wait to meet you and take pictures of your adorable face. Amber and Paul, I always have the best time with you. I never seem to laugh as hard with you not around.  Hayden, I will "buy you" some donuts next time I come down! I love your face and your family!

Here are some of my favorites from one of my favorite weekends...

Life is best when you take time to laugh.

Zebra Heels, Starbucks, + 22 Years Old

"Very early, I knew that the objective in life was to grow."
-Margaret Fuller

Today is my birthday. I'm 22 years old today, and I hope that I am always this excited to tell people my age. I've already had Starbucks and Chipotle, so it has been wonderful already. Full of singing voicemails and texts from people I love.

I really am overwhelmed by the people in my life. They are genuine, and they enhance my life times a million. I know I have said it before, but I truly mean it. I am so incredibly blessed to have such caring people around me. My family is small but full of love, laughter, sarcasm, and honesty. My friends are close to me like family and I feel like there are so many people who I genuinely trust and adore. Thanks family and friends for making my life full of goodness and laughter.

I'm fully convinced that 22 is going to be my favorite age yet. The day has already been good, and it's only the afternoon. If the rest of the year is like this, I will just be set.

Also, I have 3 sessions that I will be blogging soon that I CANNOT WAIT to show you!! You will LOVE them, so stay tuned!!!

On Saturday night, the family and 2 of my best friends, Tara and Brettany (& Baby Dawson) went to dinner to celebrate. I wore a dress I have been saving for months and a pair of Zebra heels that Brettany gave to me a few Christmases ago. Here are some pictures, because I wear heels about once a year. So we HAD to document the experience.

Take a look at my fam bam...And those wild shoes.

Life is best when you have a reason to be fancy and wear zebra heels.
